I spent thirty years in law enforcement, the last sixteen as a chief of police. That work taught me how cases are built, how institutions protect themselves, and how much depends on the people willing to tell the truth.
After policing I moved into corporate security and then into investigations in higher education, where I worked misconduct and Title IX matters that demanded both rigor and compassion. Along the way I earned a PhD in pastoral ministry. That training didn't make me softer as an investigator. It made me a better listener, and better listeners find more of the truth.
Today I lead Summit Resources LLC, which includes GLT Investigations. I'm the author of several books on leadership and purpose, and I write regularly on Substack about leadership, faith, and the public life we share. I believe in grace without amnesia: that people can change, and that the truth about what happened still matters.
